Experience
As a founding director of the Lakeland School, Pearl has been teaching here for 21 years mostly at the middle school level. Previous to Lakeland School she taught 19 years in the public school system in Lowell, MA. Upon moving to NH she became a Learning Disabilities Specialist in the Shaker Regional and Inter-Lakes school districts. Pearl is an Orton/Gillingham tutor. She also teaches graduate level courses as an adjunct faculty member at Plymouth State University.
Personal
In her spare time Pearl enjoys reading and traveling. She also coins herself as a “political junkie” and follows politics of all kinds. Pearl lives in New Hampton with her husband Leo, also a professor at Plymouth State, and they have two grown children.

Experience
Karen is one of the founders and directors of the Lakeland School. She has taught the Kindergarten class for almost all of the past 21 years. She is certified as a Guidance Counselor and a Gesell Examiner. Prior to founding Lakeland School, Karen worked in the Shaker Regional school district as a guidance counselor and a special education administrator.
Personal
Karen likes to spend her free time doing activities with her family. She enjoys skiing and martial arts. She lives in Laconia with her husband Jim and two daughters Emma and Reagan who both attend Lakeland.
Sherry Gardner

Experience
A true multi-tasker, Sherry serves as Lakeland’s Spanish teacher, elementary art teacher and the school administrator. As a Spanish teacher she draws on her many years of experience living, working and traveling in both Europe and Latin America. A former journalist and editor, she now teaches children's art and yoga classes throughout the Lakes Region.
Personal
Sherry enjoys martial arts, yoga, writing and painting. She resides
in Gilford with her husband Dana and their two children who both
attend Lakeland.

Experience
Prior to starting at Lakeland in 2004, Christina worked for five years at a community mental health center in the Lakes Region. There she worked on serving the emotional and behavioral needs of children with mental illnesses and their families, both in home and school settings. Christina is a member of ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and a member of Pi Lamda Theta, a national honor society of educators.
Personal
Christina spends her time teaching religious education at Holy Trinity Parish (Bristol/Plymouth) and she enjoys playing with her kids. She is married to her husband, Morgan, and they have three children, Hayden and Gretchen, who both attend Lakeland School, and newborn Julia. They live in Bridgewater and have been lifelong New Hampshire residents.
Judy Wilson

Experience
Judy has been the preschool teacher at Lakeland for nine years. Before that she has held a variety of teaching positions including teaching assistant, reading tutor, substitute teacher, kindergarten teacher, and third grade teacher. When she is not busy with Lakeland students, Judy is a substitute teacher for both Gilford and Belmont elementary schools. During the summer Judy runs a week-long camp for preschoolers and kindergartners at Lakeland which gives the youngsters their first experience at camp.
Personal
When Judy has free time she enjoys making jewelry and selling it at crafts fairs. Judy and her husband live in Gilmanton with their dog Libby. They have two grown daughters.
